About Mike...

Brother Sir Knight Michael E. "Mike" Barrett

Mike has been a dedicated 4th Degree Knight for several years. Beginning his KofC career at St. Agnes Council #4449, in Catonsville,Maryland. He now calls St. Andrew By The Bay Council #11552 and Pope Paul VI Assembly, in Annapolis, home. Mike and his wife Barbara are lifelong Baltimore area residents and they now reside in Annapolis and attend St. Mary's Church on Duke of Gloucester Street. Mike has two grown stepsons and two wonderful grandchildren (a third on the way!). He enjoys reading, golf, working on this website and serves his community as a Commissioned Officer in the Maryland State Defense Force.

Mike attended the Univ. of Maryland at College Park until 1972 when he entered the family real estate and insurance business, in Linthicum Maryland. He went back to school and earned his BA in Business Administration from St. Regis University in 2002 at the age of 50. Mike has earned industry recognition and professional certifications from companies such as Coverdale School of Negotiation, IBM, National Association of Homebuilders and was listed in "Who's Who of Sales and Marketing in 1989. Mike has served as an assistant instructor for the Dale Carnegie Sales Institute and has taught Basic Sales Skills, Advanced Sales Skills and other personal development courses, in the Baltimore area for the past 25 years. He has earned his Fraternal Insurance Counselor designation and has completed several Life Underwriter Training Council Courses, within the past two years. Mike proudly earned his membership into the 2002 Supreme Knights Club by being in the top 5% of KofC agents worldwide.
